UNIT - IL (Orgonic Chemistry) Structural Theory in Organic Chemistry: Bond polarization: Factors influencing the polarization of covalent bonds, electronegativity - inductive. Application of inductive effect

(b) Acidity of carboxylic acids
(c) Stability of carbonium ions.
Resonance - Mesomeric effect, application to
(a) the acidity of phenol.
(b) the acidity of carboxylic acids and the basicity of anilines.
